ENiCrFe-3 (UNS W86182) / Alloy 182 Welding Coated Electrode / AWS A5.11

SMAW

wire 001

Alloy 182 coated electrodes are manufactured with optimal chemical composition. It combines metals such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten. The ENiCrFe-3 coated electrode is used for welding the nickel-chromium alloy itself as well as different welds between nickel-chromium alloy and steel. Its high manganese content reduces the possibility of microcracking and reduces creep strength, limiting its use to 900⁰

Product Detail

Alloy 182 welding electrode are used for welding nickel-chromium-iron alloys, for welding the clad side of joints on steel clad with nickel-chromium-ironl alloy, and for surfacing steel with nickel-chromium-iron weld metal, when comparatively high manganese contents are not detrimental. The electrode may be used for applications at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to about 900°F (480°C). Excellent for welding Inconel 600 to itself or to carbon steel and stainless steel; or high chromium lncoloy 800 to nickelcopper Monel 400 or nickel or nickel base alloy 200. Fewer fissures are permitted on the bend test for this weld metal than for weld metal of the ENiCrFe-1 and ENiCrFe-2 classifications.
