Product Description
F55 containing 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.6% molybdenum as well as copper, tungsten and nitrogen, it is a high-pren, high-alloy super duplex stainless steel suitable for corrosive environments. It is a super biphase steel with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure. The alloy is composed of approximately 40-50% ferrite in the annealed state. The super biphase microstructure has the high strength of ferritic steel grades while retaining the corrosion resistance of austenitic steel grades, making it suitable for a variety of applications in industries such as oil and gas, CPI (chemical processing industry) and Marine environments.
